Joseph M. Klancnik, PhD, RPsych #01286; Director. Dr. Klancnik obtained a BA in psychology and a PhD in neuroscience at the University of British Columbia. After postdoctoral fellowships at the Brain Research Institute of the University of Zurich and the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers University, Dr. Klancnik completed APA-accredited postdoctoral clinical specialization at the University of Arizona, and an APA/CPA-accredited clinical internship at the Toronto Hospital. Prior to founding West Coast Psychological Services, Dr. Klancnik was staff psychologist at Gastown Vocational Services and at Mount St. Joseph's Hospital. Dr. Klancnik has extensive experience in neuropsychological and psychovocational assessment, and a special interest in developmental and learning disabilities. He has been intensively involved with vocational rehabilitation for persons with disabilities for over a decade. He regularly teaches, presents at local and international conferences, and publishes in the field.

James R. Blackburn, PhD, RPsych #01514. Dr. Blackburn completed a BSc in psychology at McGill University, and MA and PhD degrees in psychology at the University of British Columbia. After a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health in Washington, DC, he was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at McMaster University. He then completed APA/CPA-accredited postdoctoral clinical specialization at Dalhousie University and an internship in neuropsychology at the Ottawa Hospital. He first worked with WCPS in 2000, and he has since performed neuropsychological, psychovocational, and learning disabilities assessments with persons with a wide variety of disabilities.

Nicholas M. Bogod, PhD, RPsych #01770. Dr. Bogod received his master's and doctoral degrees in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Victoria, and subsequently completed a two-year fellowship in neuropsychology in the Neurosciences Program at the Vancouver General Hospital. Dr. Bogod brings nine years of experience in brain injury rehabilitation, and extensive experience in the neuropsychological evaluation of patients with psychological, neurological, and neurosurgical issues. Dr. Bogod is currently the staff neuropsychologist for the Vancouver General Hospital Neurosciences Program, where he consults to in- and out-patient neurology and neurosurgery.

Kimberly G. McGuire, PhD, RPsych #01349. Dr. McGuire completed her training in clinical psychology (neuropsychology specialty) at the University of Victoria. Her master's level training focused on child development and psychobiology. She has conducted more than 1500 comprehensive neuropsychological, clinical, vocational, and psycho-educational assessments for federal and provincial government ministries, law firms, rehabilitation and long-term disability insurance providers, and private clients. She has also been a consultant to WorkSafeBC and the Workers' Compensation Board of Saskatchewan. She works with children, teens, and adults of all ages.

Rishi K. Bhalla, PhD, RPsych, #01819. Dr. Bhalla completed his BA in psychology from Pennsylvania State University. He obtained his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Psychology, an APA accredited program. He completed his APA-approved clinical internship in the Neuropsychology track at Brown University. He subsequently completed one year of post-doctoral fellowship in dementia research at Brown and one year of fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Bhalla is a licensed psychologist in the states of Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. He has extensive experience in the neuropsychological assessment of adults with known or suspected brain injury. Dr. Bhalla continues to publish and present his research at national and international conferences.

Dawn Brandlmayr, PhD. Dr. Brandlmayr completed her BA in psychology at the University of British Columbia, and her MA and PhD in adult clinical psychology at York University. Her pre-doctoral internship was completed, in part, at West Coast Psychological Services, where she performed psychovocational, neuropsychological, and learning disorders assessments. Additional areas of clinical and research experience include individual and group therapy, multi-cultural assessment, value systems, interpersonal relationships, and interpersonal perception.

Mark R. Weinberg, PhD. Dr. Weinberg completed a BA, a BSocSci (Hons.), and an MA in Psychology from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and a PhD in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia. His pre-doctoral internship was completed, in part, at West Coast Psychological Services, where he performed psychovocational, neuropsychological, and learning disorders assessments. Currently, he is also staff psychologist at Developmental Disabilities Mental Health Services.
