Students are often in a time of intensive learning and transition, developing toward new phases of their lives or careers. They have many decisions to make about possible career paths and choices of academic programs. They often, however, base these decisions on vague or unsound reasons, and so fall short of reaching their potential. People achieve the greatest success and satisfaction from careers that fit best with their unique combination of aptitudes, abilities, interests, and personality. A career assessment can help students make an informed choice as to careers and coursework, and can identify ways to optimize chances for success. Many students are blocked from achieving their potential by learning disability, attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or related conditions. Clear identification and documentation of those conditions is required to obtain extra help and accommodations they require, and to which they are entitled. Students with other disabilities also require clear information about how their disability may affect their schooling / career, and how their environment can be best arranged to increase chances of success. We see students in junior or senior high school, college, and university. |
