We are looking for a neuropsychologist to join West Coast Psychological Services, our well-established, busy, and continuously-growing assessment practice in Vancouver, BC.
The work involves a variety of neuropsychological, psychoeducational, and mental health assessments. Some knowledge of vocational assessment is preferred, but training in this can be provided. Ideally, we would like to find someone who can work with children as well as adults, but would certainly consider someone who can only work with one or the other.
The position could be either on a contracted basis, or salaried, and between half- and full-time.
The scheduling is highly flexible; further, we only require the psychologist to be available for intake interviews and feedback sessions, so full-time can mean only 4-5 days a month in the office, with the rest of the work done from home.
We have a highly supportive work environment, with very experienced and dedicated psychometry and administrative staff, and numerous innovations to facilitate ease of productivity. Our staff satisfaction is high, and turnover is low. All but our newest psychologists have been with us for ten to twenty years. The office is spacious, modern, and well-appointed, (with one of the best views in the city!).
Applicants would need to be Canadian citizens or otherwise legally able to work in Canada, and be eligible for registration in British Columbia. This opportunity would be good for either early-career or experienced psychologists; we would consider people who have completed internship but have yet to defend their dissertation.
We are only looking for people who have strong analytical and writing skills, who are willing to put the thought and effort into providing high-quality, individualized reports, and who can work collaboratively and respectfully with others.
An initial period of training and supervision will be provided.
